A no frills hotel in Matsue but ended me with surprises. I drop my luggage with an ease and was check-in by the the helpful staffs. When I came back at night, my lugagge was already brought to my room. I got my keycard in no time and got entry to my Single bed room. The toiletries like hairbrush, toothbrush kit, haircap and cottonpads are free for grabs at the ground floor. There are also free popsicles. The room is spacious for single and like the idea it has a door to the bedrooom which really minimizes the noise. They got all the amenities available TV, personal fridge, AC, tea making facility and with a complimentery bottled water and pastry. The bed is comfortable and had restful sleep here. The bathroom is compact but has everything you need. Shower and bath tub with a small tv. First time I seen it in Japanese hotel. It was clean and well maintained. Overall, I am very happy with my stay at Dormy Inn Express in Matsue. The checkout is quite easy too. I highly recommend them.

This is the best hotel ive ever stayed in especially for the price Ive paid. The level of hospitality is so high - free ramen, free ice cream, free yakult, free bathing and shaving amenities, excellent cleaning service, the bed was so lovely. staff was also polite and lovely. 100/100. will visit again.

Perfect location, good Japanese breakfast, friendly staffs and great public bath. (Although it needs to walk to another hotel for the public bath, which have outdoor and indoor Onsen , I think it’s worth it）

I did not opt for the breakfast but the evening ramen and all the little treats were so nice! Having laundry machines available was a huge plus too. This is a really great hotel.

Had TV technical problems late at night. The staff insisted they switch my room. They followed up multiple times to ensure things were working and apologized at checkout. They also helped me find a nearby restaurant I knew by name but didn't have the address for and gave clear instructions. Very clean room that felt new.

As expected for other Dormy Inn hotels, this serves a fantastic breakfast. Local soba nudle, wariko soba, was very good. I would like to stay again in this hotel when visiting Matsue.

The staff were very polite and helpful. There is a complimentary free drink after 5 to 9 PM, a small ice cream from 3 to midnight. As well a half-size ramen service that I didn't try from 9to 11 PM. The breakfast was OK. There are vending machines located on the odd number floors. The location is really good, there is a 7/11 in front of the hotel as well a Lawson 50 meters away. Station 300ish meters away plus many restaurants. Lastly, the hotel seems to be very new, that is a big perk for me.

Closeness to the station. 2 Convenience stores nearby. Plenty of restaurants options. They always accommodate my requests: soft pillows, 2 this time.

Clean, has everything i need. Complimentary ice cream and Yakult was a nice touch.
